Adam Stevenson is one of the playable protagonist characters in The Beast Inside. His story takes place in 1979, where he works as a CIA cryptanalyst on cracking the Soviet's code.

When Adam and his wife Emma move to the countryside, they expect to find a peaceful location where Adam can work on cracking a Soviet Cold War-era code. Instead, they find the diary of a man named Nicolas, who had lived in the same house before, bringing nightmarish danger from the past directly into Adam's life.
